Questions NZ & Fiji - 10/09/04 02:58 PM

Hi everybody!
Anybody who can help me with the following questions?:
- For driving in New Zealand and Fiji, do I need an international driving licence or would (in my case) a German one be sufficient?
- do I need any "vacunations"(???or whatever the word is), I mean injections agains infections and diseases for NZ and Fiji?
- Does anybody knows a good webpage where I could find this kind of info?
Thank in advance and have a great day

Hallo strukki

I can tell you about New Zealand, but not Fiji. I am the manager of Kiwivelo a training camp and bike holiday destination in Nelson and Taupo in New Zealand.

A german drivers licence is good for up to one year in NZ.
You should have a tetnus injection if you haven't had one recently.

For a website about NZ info have a look at my company website
www.kiwivelo.com (auf Deutsch)

Any other questions I am happy to help.

Hi Tim,
Thanks a lot for getting back to me. Great, exactly the information I need.
However, from the web of the ministery of freign affairs I have learnt that for Fiji it's recommended (not an obligation!) to be vaxinated (is this the word?) against yellow fever and Hepatitis A. Do you think this is exaggerated or should I follow this advice?

Hey, I've recorded your address ( good marketing :-)) ). As,for the first time after many years, I will travel without my bike (I hope I will not be exmatriculated here!), so, I might come along and would join one of your bike excursions.
I'll see how everything goes.
So, maybe see you or at least "read" your thoughts.
Thanks again.
