South of Italy

Hi, I am planning a tour leaving from Bari, all the way down to the South and returning to Bari. Anybody has been there? are camping sites good? any ideas how to get from Catanzaro to Matera (train or bus??)

are there any campings? I've been there a few years ago, coming from greece with a ferryboat. The trulli region is nice, e.g. Alberobello. Matera with the caves is also interesting. We went down to Mottola to visit a friend of my wife. It's nice there, no big hills and good roads.
